I'll watch it, but it just seemed like they were pushing the badassness to hard in the trailer. Think its still going to be corny like the others.

Trailer beats all the Mortal Kombat flicks combined. Reaction was basically 
Hopefully the rumors about shooting for a R-rated reboot are true. That plus this Dark Knight-like feel would make things promising.

It is a fresh take on two old movies. Something which will either kill it.. or make it awesome. Quite frankly, it is most definitely worth a watch. I cant wait to see the advertising for this movie unfold, etc.

Then again, I hope they at least have the decency to kill Johnny Cage in the actual film as well. Liu Kang as well (should they make him appear).

This is just a Dark Knight/Saw wannabe take on a movie name-branded with MK. The whole point of MK is the fantasy, and the over-the-top violence and gore that comes with it.
A doctor gone mad from a botched surgery? Reptile some diseased kid who made it? God knows what Sub-Zero look like. They're not supposed to be human. What is their point now? Oh, sending out a famously known celebrity to go "under cover" was laughable, but what else can you do with that shithead Johnny Cage.
Nothing in that trailer resembled Mortal Kombat. It would just be another Dragonball: Evolution. Personally, I don't trust Hollywood with this type of shit.
